1 Residential Outdoor Education (Wales) Bill - consideration of the scope and approach
1.1 The Committee agreed the scope and
approach to scrutiny of the Bill.
2 Do disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare? - presentation of findings from family interviews
2.1 The Committee received a presentation of
the findings from the family interviews.

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Children, Young People and Education Committee.
1.2 Laura Jones sent her apologies from item 6 of the meeting.

4 Do disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare? - evidence session 13
4.1 The Committee heard evidence from the Welsh Government.
4.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Welsh
Government to follow up on some of the issues raised and with the
questions that were unasked.
5 Motion under Standing Order 17.42(ix) to resolve to exclude the public from items 6 and 9 of this meeting and item 1 of the meeting on 6 December
5.1 The motion was agreed.

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence it
had heard in the previous session.
7 Scrutiny of Children's Commissioner for Wales Annual Report 2022 - 2023
7.1 The Committee scrutinised the Commissioner on her Annual Report.
7.2 The Commissioner agreed to provide a
breakdown by local authority of the number of visits that had been
undertaken during this period.

8.1 The papers were noted.
8.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Minister for Education and Welsh Language with the issues raised in the letter from the Welsh Language Commissioner.
9 Scrutiny of the Children's Commissioner for Wales Annual Report 2022 - 2023 - consideration of the evidence
9.1 The Committee considered the evidence it had heard in the previous session.
9.2 The Committee agreed to write to the Equality and Social Justice Committee to highlight the issues that the Commissioner raised regarding Child Poverty.
